The Cádiz Business Confederation (CEC) recognised Grupo Torrent’s entrepreneurial achievements during an event held on 4 July at the Castillo de San Lorenzo del Puntal in Cádiz. For Grupo Torrent, this award represents a significant milestone in its professional journey, as it is granted by fellow business leaders.

This recognition not only highlights the strength and commitment of Grupo Torrent to innovation and excellence but also underscores its unwavering dedication to sustainability and both local and international economic development.

David Torrent, President of Grupo Torrent, expressed his gratitude to the CEC for the award, emphasising that “without the effort of everyone in the Torrent tribe, we would never have reached where we are today.” In his acceptance speech, he also acknowledged his family, predecessors, and the teams who supported the company through past decades, noting, “They were pioneers and showed courage during times of industrial change.” He also extended thanks to the clients across four continents and the banking institutions that have supported the company.

According to David Torrent, “This award is a testament to our legacy and our forward-looking vision.” During the ceremony, Javier Sánchez Rojas, President of the CEC, highlighted the vital role of companies like Grupo Torrent in driving the economy and society forward. “We believe there are many entrepreneurs in our province who deserve recognition. With the Business Night, we aim to celebrate and underline their importance, as without businesses, there is no future—they are the foundation of job creation and wealth,” Sánchez Rojas stated.

In addition to Grupo Torrent, the ceremony honoured companies such as Elisa Cortés, Sotogrande SA, and MacPherson Marine Surveyors. Special recognition was also given to the Civil Guard for their service to Spain, particularly Cádiz, and gratitude was expressed to the Spanish Navy for assisting in organising the event.
