At the Torrent Group, we are celebrating our first centenary this year with the acquisition of Herederos de Torrent Miranda. The company was founded 100 years ago by the grandfather of the current owners, José Torrent Miranda, who manufactured cork stoppers for wine.
Torrent is confident that with this expansion “we will continue to grow, creating strong synergies with our customers and expanding our portfolio of stopper solutions.”
The goal of the company for this year, after 100 years of continuous progress and development in the production of non-refillable stoppers for liqueurs, EVOO, spirits and wines, is “to maintain and improve our main characteristic: our dedication to customers”.
The company specializes in the manufacture of stoppers for the liqueur, premium products and fortified wines sectors. This type of bartop stoppers are made of natural, micro-granulated and agglomerate cork, have a zamak, bakelite, wood or plastic head and are easy to handle.
Torrent Miranda exports.
The main markets to which Torrent Miranda exports its products are Russia, Latin America, France and, in general, all of Europe. By Herederos de Torrent Miranda joining the Torrent Group, the sales projection of these types of closures will be strengthened by access to the sales channels of the parent company.
With the addition of Herederos de Torrent Miranda, we increased our workforce to 450 workers. Our company, with its clear international character, has six production plants. Four are in the province of Cádiz, one in Kenya and another in India. In addition, it has commercial companies in Russia, Colombia and Mexico.
