Torrent inaugura planta de producción en Nairobi- production plant of Nairobi

Torrent Group consolidates its internationalization strategy with the official opening of its new production plant in Nairobi, Kenya. This factory enables the multinational, the world leader in the manufacture of virgin olive oil, spirits and liqueurs closures, to supply customers in the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) and improve production through a reduction in costs achieved by manufacturing at destination and reducing shipping costs.

The official inauguration of the production plant.

The official inauguration was attended by the Ambassador of Spain, Javier García de Viedma, and our general manager, David Torrent, who began a new stage in the history of this company, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The new plant in Nairobi specializes in manufacturing the Nip Top non-refillable safety stopper, which will be produced in 8,000 square metres of facilities and employs 32 people directly.

Thanks to this new challenge, Torrent Group has consolidated its position as a world leader in the manufacture of stoppers and grow in the market for non-refillable safety stoppers for spirits. The innovation applied to the product allows Torrent Group to offer anti-counterfeit safety closures. The technology and use of new materials has allowed us to offer stoppers that, in addition to being effective in their anti-adulteration objective, protect the properties of the source product.
